Corning's historic downtown, called the Gaffer District, is filled with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and a movie theater, and regularly offers live music on weekends, in addition to the frequent local festivals. Historic Market Street in downtown Corning is nationally recognized for its architectural styles and restoration, and is home to over 115 boutiques, antiques, specialty shops, art galleries, jewelers and outlets - all within a compact 5 block area. Located nearby are the Arnot Mall, Consumer Square, and Southern Tier Crossing - collectively the largest shopping center within the Southern Tier. |
